Scott Frost’s Staff Gets an Early Jump on 2018 Recruiting

It hasn’t even been a full 24 hours since Scott Frost was introduced as Nebraska’s new head coach and already his staff is swarming to find the next Cornhusker all-stars.

The frenzy started with an offer to four-star quarterback and Tennessee commitment Adrian Martinez.

Martinez’s tweet regarding the offer tagged several people including Frost and Mario Verduzco, who served as quarterbacks coach under Frost at UCF and likely picks up the same role at Nebraska.

Next up was four-star running back and Florida State commitment Jashaun Corbin.

Like Martinez, Corbin’s offer tweet was tagged with his likely position coach at Nebraska, current UCF running backs coach Ryan Held.

Next came a rangy outside linebacker in three-star Javontae Jean-Baptiste.

Junior college offers then started to come in, first with four-star cornerback Jeremy Webb from ASA College in Brookln, N.Y….

…and then three-star offensive tackle Noah Banks from Iowa Western Community College in Council Bluffs, Iowa.

Three-star running back Jerome Ford, who currently holds an offer from Alabama, was also targeted.

Not a bad start for a staff that hasn’t even been on the job for a day.
